Great location (walking distance from many historical points of interest) and the staff was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast (which was included) was fresh and plentiful.
Having visited Rome in July, the only thing we missed having at the hotel was a pool! Another minor comment would be for the hotel to simplify the daily log-in procedure for wi-fi access which was sometimes a bit cumbersome.
The staff were all excellent, especially the manager, Marco. The hotel might at first seem a bit out of town, but in fact it's well placed between the center and the Colesseum. The roof restaurant is fantastic, outstanding views, service and food. Breakfast in the courtyard is also very good - not a whole lot choice though.
Everything about Fortyseven was outstanding, and a place I would recommend and go back to on my next trip to Rome. Elegant boutique hotel, state of the art spacious rooms, attentive, friendly and accomodating staff and service. Nothing left to the imagination. Quiet and relaxing environment and lovely layout and design. Espresso machines with generous espresso pods in each room. Location is perfect, central to ancient Roman area and major locations, but not in a bustling, overcrowded area.
The Hotel was recommended by friends who stayed there last October - and we were so happy they did!!! The staff was courteous and professional; the woman who checked us in gave us the names of 3 restaurants, and their directions. We ate at two of them and were very happy with our choices. The hotel itself was very centrally located for what we wanted to do (mostly wander and soak in the city life, plus see some of the major sites). The rooftop Circus restaurant was a complete treat - the food and service were excellent. It was the perfect ending for our two weeks in Italy.
Our only complaint would be that our upstairs neighbor liked to drag chairs across the floor at odd hours. That being said, we rarely heard anyone else around us except for the occasional door closing.
A few opening glitches, nothing that detracted from our stay.
Superb location just next to the Forum and walking distance from most other attractions. Excellent rooftop restaurant and terrace with magnificent view.
Fantastic location! I can walk to half of the famous spot. Good food in top roof restaurant. Big room and clean.
The staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful, room service was prompt, laundry was turned around quickly (usually next day). Very good location in a part of Rome that is not too hectic, but close to the city centre.
walls could do with being soundproofed - there was a couple of occasions when we could hear the rooms below.
The personal service was outstanding. One of our friends was taken ill and not only did the hotel staff accompany us to the hospital but stayed the night as family would do. Nothing was too difficult for the reception desk to organise. The breakfasts in the courtyard took us away from the hustle and bustle of Rome as did the roof top bar and restaurant. A definite must for us whenever we return to Rome.
Location is perfect for thouse who have a lot to see and a little time. Good view of the city from roof restaurant.
Frtont desk Staff were outstanding! Helpfull in every way Location is very convenient
Top floor restaurant was closed on my last evening
The hotel offers amenities not often found in Rome hotels such as an excellent restaurant, full gym and steam room. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful. The property is well maintained. It is a good value and a nice place to stay overall.
The location is right between the Piazza Venezia and the river, which is convenient for ancient Rome and a short walk to the end of the Vis del Corso, but is a bit noisy due to the busy road it is on and a short walk is needed to get to food and shops for daily conveniences.
Perfect location to sight see in Rome and walk to restaurants and shopping. Room was excellent and quiet. Rooftop restaurant was a great place to eat or drink, and the courtyard off the lobby was great for relaxing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Bed was a little firm but still comfortable. Would have liked free internet access in room.
Location of the hotel is really great - you are just in a few steps from the heart of the city, and at the same time it is green and quiet there. My reservation was upgraded (thanks again to the hotel management!) so I enjoined one of the best views of the ancient part of the city not from a balcony but from one of those roman-style terraces with blossoming lemon trees. The room was not large but was genuienly parted it into two zones, and that was very convenient. Claudia at the reception was very friendly and helpful.
We were very pleased with every service Fortyseven offered. Within easy walking distance of major attractions, restaurants and shopping. After a busy day they have an inside courtyard you can relax in. The management and staff go out of thier way to assist you with all your holiday plans. They reccommended places to have dinner depending on what we felt like, how much we wanted to spend, then made our reservations - , helped us book tours, arranged taxis -- even gave us a detailed self walking tour with information on the different sites. Rooms were clean, fairly spacious and the breakfast was very, very good. I would definitely plan to stay with them again if I return to Rome.
